Job Summary:
Direct and supervise 11-12 nursing staff.
Manage a 20-bed unit.
Interviewing and selection of Professionals and non-Professionals nursing staff.
Continually evaluate nursing personnel and formally review performance.
Provide opportunities for growth and development of nursing service personnel, including orientation, in-services, and opportunities outside the facility for personal growth.
Plans and organizes an effective on-going, in-service program, and makes known to staff educational opportunities as found in the community.
Carries out ongoing evaluation of nursing care by daily rounds of nursing unit, which may include visiting with patients and reviewing medical records, care plans and medication profiles.
Maintains open relationships and communication with all patients, patient’s families, physicians, staff, and other interested groups in the community.
See that all State and Federal rules and regulations, as they pertain to the nursing department, are carried out so that no deficiencies are found in inspections.
Other Requirements:
Must be currently licensed in the State of Arizona as a registered nurse and must show evidence of current, valid license.
Minimum of three years' recent nursing experience, preferably in a geriatric setting or skilled, Long Term Care setting.
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership position with managerial responsibilities.
Must be proficient in current MDS standards and guidelines.
Must be proficient in current standards of practice related to Infection Prevention and Control.
Good communications skills necessary including fluent English, both verbally and written.
Follows/adheres to organization, Federal/State regulations, and guidelines, including Resident's Rights.
EOE, Drug test and background check required.
Certified Director of Nursing in Long-Term Care, CDON/LTC is a plus.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
