Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, Statistics, Environmental Science, Health Sciences or a related field and three years of project coordination experience; OR an Associate’s degree in a related field and five years of such experience; OR seven years of such experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one year of experience.
This position requires that the incumbent will report to the official work location and live within commuting distance to the official work location. Telecommuting may be available. If telecommuting is available, the incumbent will be required to have a telephone/mobile device, and internet access.

Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Public Health or Health Sciences.
- At least two years of demonstrated experience in quality improvement or systems change.
- At least one year of experience working in a healthcare setting.
- At least two years of experience assisting with contract management, including review and approval of vouchers and progress reports.
- Experience monitoring and managing projects including use of online shared sites or project management applications
Responsibilities
The Project Coordinator will work in the Bureau of Cancer Prevention and Control (BCPC) coordinating work with health care providers to improve cancer screening rates among their patient populations, with a focus on providers serving patients who are less likely to receive these critical, potentially life-saving screening services and who experience inequitable outcomes due to factors such as race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, geography, and social determinants of health.
The Project Coordinator will monitor and provide guidance and technical assistance to health care practices (clinics) to implement evidence-based clinic, patient, and provider screening interventions; review and improve clinic workflows and electronic health records (EHRs) and implement quality improvement plans. The Project Coordinator will research, develop tools and resources, and coordinate the implementation of interventions, quality improvement and sustainability plans in clinics; develop and coordinate participant selection criteria and tools; develop and monitor clinic work plans, budgets, and expenditures; process vouchers; review routine reports and assess progress; make recommendations for improvements; collaborate with evaluators; and collaborate with and advise BCPC and other chronic disease prevention staff, contractors, and cancer control partners on effective, evidence-based health systems interventions; and participate in other related duties as assigned.
