HealthBridge Arlington Heights has an immediate opening for a Registered Nurse (RN) as the Infection Preventionist and Control Nurse with proven Infection Preventionist experience to drive our staff development, education and orientation related to our infection prevention program and initiatives. Responsibilities for this position include developing, monitoring and enforcing policies specific to Surveillance, Prevention and Control Programs as well as coordinating Infection Prevention and Control throughout the facility and monitoring the on-going effectiveness of these activities and interventions. In addition, this position is responsible for orientation and ongoing training programs for all employees.

Qualifications
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: RN required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; LPN with relevant experience will be considered
- Experience: Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in Infection Control in a skilled nursing setting; direct experience with NHSN data entry and reporting; experience with clinical surveillance system software
- Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred
- Computer Skills: Strong working knowledge of clinical surveillance; Electronic Medical Record; other related software applications and Microsoft Office suite (MS Word, MS Excel, etc.)
