Essential Functions:
Community Engagement and Outreach coordinator organizes initiatives designed to promote the organization programs and its services to the community. Develops relationships with community leaders and serves as the organization’s liaison with various constituents.

Community Engagement and Outreach coordinator organizes initiatives designed to promote the organization programs and its services to the community. Develops relationships with community leaders and serves as the organization’s liaison with various constituents.
Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Supports the organization mission, vision and values; adhere to its policies and procedures in carrying out the responsibilities of this position.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with other organization and community to increase awareness and support.
- Serves as liaison between organization and community to deliver successful programs.
- Represents the organization in the community thru numerous engagement activities.
- Maintains full knowledge of programs and services provided.
- Administers organizational programs aimed at addressing the needs of the community.
- Performs specials projects and related duties as required of assigned by supervisor.
Skills:
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to interact effectively with diverse individuals and build effective working relationships.
- Administrative Skills: Good organizational and time and management skills. Effectively complete assignments and meet deadlines.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, good public speaking skills, confident communicator with demonstrated ability to present information effectively to groups and individuals.
Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator Qualifications:
- Must be able to maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile license.
- Must have own vehicle.
- Flexible, dynamic and engaging with strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong communicator with skills in writing and public speaking.
- Ability to always represent the organization professionally.
- A team player with the ability to forge new partnerships that bridge people and organizations.
- Able to prioritize under deadline pressure.
- Excellent with time and task management skills, able to work independently.
- Familiar with the latest public relation trends and best practices.
- Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
- Possession of valid Illinois Driver’s license and willingness to use personal vehicle in course of employment.
- H.A.S. requires all staff to work onsite.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in related filed.
- Previous related experience working in related discipline preferred.
