Job Summary:
The Facilities Assistant is responsible for helping the Facilities Supervisor with general building maintenance. Performing or arranging for general building and fixture repairs. Overseeing maintenance of landscaping and upkeep of grounds. Assisting with overseeing janitorial staff and outside contractors. Keeping the building in a clean and orderly condition by examining the building on a regular basis for needed repairs, maintenance, and cleanliness.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee building Maintenance activities.
- Oversight of building cleanliness providing direction to janitors.
- Assisting with Painting, plumbing, lighting, carpentry and drywall repair
- Installation of general office equipment
- Moving/installing furniture and appliances
- Ordering/maintaining supplies as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent required, Bachelor's degree in related field, preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in building maintenance function.
Physical Requirements:
- Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
- The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work.
- The worker is subject to inside environmental conditions: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
- The worker is subject to noise: There is sufficient noise to cause worker to shout to be heard above the ambient noise level.
