What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Supervisor position at Healthcare Consulting?
A rapidly growing, locally-owned medical billing company is seeking an experience, well-qualified individual to join our team as a Medical Billing Supervisor. We offer a comfortable work environment, competitive pay and great benefits. We serve providers across a variety of disciplines located throughout the US, with a special focus on home health, hospice, and behavioral health. We bill Medicare, Medicaid in multiple states, and commercial/HMO payers. Our firm prides itself on integrating with our clients’ existing software and procedures. As such candidates must be willing and able to quickly learn new software, use multiple EMRs/EHRs, and be flexible in how they approach their work. This position reports to the owner/president of the firm.
The Medical Billing Supervisor’s responsibilities include:
- Directing and supervising medical billing staff.
- Regular contact with clients (providers) via phone, email and video conferencing.
- Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of work performed for clients, and ensuring compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations.
- Developing and implementing an internal continuing education program for billing staff.
- Assisting with recruitment and retention of staff.
- Helping with special projects as needed.
In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have at least 2 years of supervisory experience, preferably in a medical billing and/or healthcare setting, along with 5 years of medical billing experience. Candidates must have excellent references and be able to pass a background check. Candidates must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, and Medicare FISS/DDE. Experience with Kareo is a plus but is not required.
This is NOT a remote position. Remote candidates will not be considered. All positions are located in our office located in the Southern Seacoast NH area.
