Your Exciting Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Advanced Reporting: Showcase your Excel prowess in handling adhoc and monthly reporting (advanced Excel skills a plus!).
- Become an ACCRUAL accounting expert – no cash basis financials here! We use the accrual basis of accounting for all of our clients so you’ll gain valuable hands on experience with monthly accruals, balance sheet account analysis, the matching principal and fun reporting and analysis projects. Accounting nerds welcome!
- Reconciliation Master: Skillfully handle cash and vendor reconciliations, ensuring accuracy.
- Process improvements: identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounting processes.
- Keeping It Tidy: Maintain timely and accurate records according to company standards.
- Performance Reporting: Delight clients with monthly and weekly performance reporting where you help our clients grow and improve financial performance.
- Provide expert assistance in the annual audit process as needed by our clients.
- Developing and analyzing reporting for business operations and budgets.
- Gain a deep understanding of the healthcare revenue cycle process and its impact on business and revenue performance.
- Design and publish monthly revenue reports for healthcare medical billing and practice management clients.
- Engaging in ad hoc data extraction and analysis of healthcare revenue data from client EMR and practice management systems.
- Interact with owners and senior management to effectively address client practices.
- Identify and create new processes to enhance financial and operational efficiency within the organization.
- Present findings to the management team, utilizing your analytical skills and ability to interpret data.
Desired Qualifications:
- Accounting Savvy: Knowledge of standard accounting procedures to conquer any challenge.
- Multitasking Pro: Proven ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks seamlessly.
- Experience Counts: Minimum 3 years of accounting experience to bring expertise to the table.
- Accounting or related Degree (finance, MBA, etc.): Showcase your educational background and passion for the field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrating an ability to analyze data and derive valuable insights.
- Proficiency in Excel is a must! Advanced pivot table and macro skills are desired to excel in this role.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus, as it complements the skill set required for the position.
- Demonstrated experience in end-to-end financial statement preparation is highly valued.
- Willingness to learn new billing/revenue platforms and extract data as needed.
- Detail-oriented and dedicated to meeting deadlines with precision.
- Previous experience in accounting or related fields will be advantageous.
