Overview
HCSG is seeking a highly motivated individual to join as a Benefit Analyst with our HR Team at our Headquarters in Bensalem, PA. This position works closely with HR management, particularly in benefits, to ensure appropriate and accurate data to communicated to and from vendors and various departments within the organization. We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable in HR and has experience with data management and is always looking toward process improvement.
Responsibilities
- Supports and continuously improves processes for administering and monitoring benefit programs.
- Oversees administration for captive insurance plans.
- Maintain the collection and maintenance of participant census information for captive insurance company.
- Interfaces with consultants, and accesses database for scheduled reporting.
- Reviews H&W plan error reports and resolves discrepancies in coverage and/or data.
- Auditing data, including using VLOOKUP and running census information in payroll system.
- Build and maintain hierarchy for various databases including performance management system, benefits administration systems,
- Supports the benefit open enrollment process as it relates to rate finalization, identify report needs, verifying coverage is being offered in compliance with ACA.
- Assists with the operational components of implementation of acquisitions and facilitate the enrollment process for the employees of newly acquired companies.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to benefit plans (COBRA, Sec 125, HIPAA, etc.)
- Supports and continuously improves processes for administering and monitoring HR programs.
- Conduct research, data clean-up and data analysis on historical issues.
- Act as resource for HR to help resolve issues, coordinate projects, year-end activities, and plan audits.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of laws and regulations that apply to retirement plans (ERISA, DOL, IRS, etc.)
Qualifications
- General knowledge of employment laws and practices
- Experience in the administration of benefits programs
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment. *Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.
- Excellent Organizational skills
- Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality
- PHR and/or CEBS certification preferred
- The ability to work under pressure.
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree and 3-5 years experience in a large company is required.
