How you can make a difference
As the Director, Marketing – Operational Excellence, you'll be responsible for leading the vision for and execution of marketing operations and operational excellence for HealthEquity’s marketing team. With a laser focus on continuously improving quality and processes, this leader will ensure the team is always improving efficiency and quality, while achieving the desired marketing and business outcomes. Equally important, the successful candidate will have a passion for collaboration and the ability to inspire leaders across the marketing team to continuously strive for improvement. This role will report to the VP, Marketing Operations & Digital Growth.
What you’ll be doing
- Instill a culture of continuous improvement in the Marketing function, actively defining and implementing programs/projects while managing and always improving the overall process.
- Develop short- and long-term vision and strategy to implement operational “quick wins” and continuous improvement methodology across the Marketing function
- Oversee the marketing budget and relationship with central finance team;
- Effective process-based relationships with procurement, legal, compliance, and external vendors; regulatory and legal approval processes
- Tactical QA (including content and data), project coordination support, marketing collateral fulfillment, and core vendor platform management
- Operational communications strategy and execution
- Organize, lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams focused on improving marketing processes and quality
- Lead operational communications strategy and process development and execution, with particular emphasis on service recovery and other incident- or change-management communications
- Conduct formal reviews of vendors, systems, processes, and operational mechanisms: identify and prioritize opportunities to drive standardization and optimization
- Create a balanced scorecard of performance metrics to drive better outcomes; contribute to developing and tracking improvement in marketing KPIs, including both business and quality metrics
- Manage the Marketing function’s work management system and all implementation/use processes in Marketing
- Prioritize marketing initiatives based on business needs and available resources, developing and socializing an agile roadmap that aligns marketing and its stakeholders to what matters most
- Partner with channel marketers, marketing technology, data (EDW/CRM), and product teams to optimize the marketing tech stack and ensure marketing initiatives and needs have representation on relevant partner roadmaps
- Define go-to-market frameworks and processes to ensure outstanding internal and external understanding of key marketing initiatives and programs
What you will need to be successful
- 10 years demonstrated leadership experience in a marketing operations leadership position, with proven results in efficiency and ROI.
- Prior experience establishing and socializing standardized processes across a large cross-functional team, implementing, creating and influencing a culture of continuous improvement.
- Analytic skills: A hands-on, detail-oriented professional with excellent technical, analytical, planning, evaluation and implementation skills.
- Demonstrated expertise in delivering quality output within Marketing Operations’ areas of influence, including marketing technology; marketing automation; personalization and segmentation; reporting and analytics; budget management and basic accounting/finance principles; managing relationships with procurement, legal and external vendors; processes related to regulatory and legal documentation and approvals.
- Proven track record driving financial and operational improvements and results.
- Program and project management skills in a marketing context
- Strong understanding of go-to-market frameworks, and experience with change management, both internally and with clients
- Clear and effective communication and presentation skills on process optimization initiatives and outcomes to all levels of the organization.
- Ability to encourage and model collaboration and professionalism, all while driving rigorous alignment to processes and accountability to outcomes.
- Proven ability to work with sales, operations, IT, servicing, product and marketing teams
- Strong collaboration & negotiation skills, ability to influence, gaining support and trust across the organization to drive business growth
- Ability to prioritize multiple simultaneous projects/deliverables to successful completion (i.e., high quality deliverables in a timely manner)
- Demonstrated commitment to developing staff skills and capability
- Entrepreneurial and innovative - able to work with ambiguity, providing structure to unstructured situations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Excel, Google Analytics, Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Seismic, and Workfront
- Ability to travel and willingness to work flexible hours

Salary Range
$119500.00 To $191000.00 / yearBenefits & Perks
The compensation range describes the typical minimum or maximum base pay range for this position. The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives and restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range in addition to a full range of benefits including:

Salary : $119,500 - $191,000
