What are the responsibilities and job description for the Breast Surgeon position at HealthPartners?
HealthPartners Medical Group is one of the largest multi-specialty physician practices in the Upper Midwest. Our Plastic & Hand Surgery Department is based at Regions Hospital in St. Paul. Regions is a Level 1 Trauma & Burn Center, one of the University of Minnesota’s largest teaching affiliates, and is a primary training site for the University’s plastic surgery residency. Our department includes a talented team of eight plastic surgeons, two PA-Cs, an NP, an aesthetician, and a full-time plastic surgery training service. Our practice is broad, and we share general plastic surgery, hand, and facial trauma call within our group and with our colleagues in orthopedics and otolaryngology.
We seek a BC/BE Plastic Surgeon with interests in breast reconstruction including microsurgical reconstruction, general reconstruction, and cosmetic surgery of the face and body. Other practice opportunities include hand surgery, facial trauma, peripheral nerve and brachial plexus, abdominal wall reconstruction, head and neck reconstruction, and Mohs reconstruction. We are developing a cosmetic surgery program to support the East Metro area. We are also developing a city-wide lymphedema program. Fellowship training is encouraged, but not essential, depending on the candidate’s level of clinical experience. Experienced and newly graduated surgeons are encouraged to apply. The selected candidate will receive a faculty appointment at the University of Minnesota and will participate in the teaching of plastic surgery residents, hand fellows, and medical students.
