What are the responsibilities and job description for the Neurosurgeon position at HealthPartners?
HealthPartners recognizes the unique skillset and daily demands of a neurosurgeon, and has created and maintained a practice that supports your success. We are one of the largest, most successful multi-specialty physician practices in the Upper Midwest, with over 800 physicians providing care in ~45 specialties. Our Neuroscience group has an exciting full-time practice opportunity available for a BC/BE Neurosurgeon to join our talented metro-area team based at Regions Hospital, our nationally recognized Level 1 Adult/Peds Trauma and Burn Center in St. Paul.
While fellowship training is preferred, it isn’t required for application to this position. Teamwork within our high cultural standards of neurosurgical care delivery is HealthPartners strength - and our expectation. Key neurosurgical partners within our team include: neuro-critical care, neuro-oncology, pediatric neurosurgery, interventional radiology, skull base/aneurysm, pain/interventional pain, trauma service, and emergency medicine. This level of teamwork allows you to develop the practice you prefer with the ability to defer some subspecialty work.
Our attractive on-call schedule, advanced practitioner/nursing support, and evening/weekend non-surgeon first call structure promotes long term practice success and job satisfaction, and minimizes burnout. Dedicated OR/clinic block, modern technology and beautiful state-of-the-art facilities add even more practice appeal. We offer a competitive guaranteed salary (RVU-based, regardless of payer mix), a generous benefits package, paid malpractice, and a thriving metropolitan practice. The Twin Cities offer vibrant, diverse communities with outstanding schools, beautiful lakes and parks, an active theatre and professional sports scene, and a busy international airport.
