The primary purpose of the Behavior Technician is to practice under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA, or BCaBA. The BT is primarily responsible for the direct implementation of behavior-analytic services, following behavior plans developed by a BCBA, modeling behavior techniques for other staff and/or caregivers, and documenting all services within an educational model of practice and any other duties as directed.

Responsibilities
The following is a list of specific duties, which are considered to be essential functions of this job. The list is not exhaustive as all duties are subject to change. - Help students function effectively in the school environment.
- Assess areas in which students may require assistance or mental health counseling.
- Communicate with parents, teachers and administrators.
- Maintain accurate case files and reports to track student issues and progress.
- Assist in remediation by providing treatment plans or counseling.
- Evaluate student transcripts.
- Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process as necessary.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one year working directly with children of any/all abilities.
- Associates to Bachelor's Degreeor higher
- Strong interest in applied behavior analysis as a career (preference to candidates enrolled in graduate ABA programs).
- Previous experience as a clinical Behavior Technician or paraprofessional in a school setting.
- Readiness and desire to complete the BACB RBT coursework and certification process within 90 days of employment (required).
