Healthy Families America Program Supervisor
Healthy Moms and Babes is looking for an experienced individual to oversee its Help Me Grow home visiting program. Successful candidate will coordinate the program operation. They will also provide supervision for home visiting staff (up to 6 staff) and monitor program compliance with Ohio Department of Children and Youth and Healthy Families America (HFA) policies and procedures.

Job Description:
Manage the daily operations of the Healthy Families America (HFA/Help Me Grow) team; identify and assess client and family needs; supervise home visiting staff; coordinate service delivery to ensure that client needs, program goals and contract objectives are effectively met
- Identify and fulfill staffing needs; work collaboratively with each staff member on talent development process to set job and development goals; approve payroll, provide or arrange and schedule ongoing staff training to enable direct service staff to deliver client service effectively
- Supervise program staff including regular individual and group staff meetings and case consultation; ensure proper client-to-staff ratio and monitor case files for quality and completeness; assist staff in achieving competence in reflective practice
- Conduct regular and timely supervision according to established program guidelines
- Assign cases to direct service staff, coordinate service delivery and day-to-day operations of the program
- Monitor client cases from initial referral through discharge, promoting efficient and effective client services and administration procedures including adequate client record keeping, statistical and performance outcome reporting
- Provide direct casework in the absence of direct service staff
- Keep apprised of legislative activity and developments that may impact the program
- Ensure that service delivery is performed according to and within the HMB mission, policy/statewide directive/procedural directions/case management model, and contractual/licensing requirements
- Enter data for record keeping and reporting to meet federal/state/program guidelines
- Responsible for goals and objectives of contract for programs; includes HMB, HFA and DCY outcomes and reporting
Meeting and Community Outreach/Resource Participation:
- Represent HMB externally and participate in local/regional task forces and community partnership meetings as appropriate
- May supervise, train, support, and/or collaborate with volunteer(s) and/or intern(s)
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree is required, MA preferred, in Social Work, Early Childhood, Human Development & Family Studies, Human Ecology or related field
- Experience in home visitation with a strong background in prevention services to the 0-3 age population
- Social Work License (LSW) preferred
- A solid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments
- Willingness to build reflective practice (e.g., capacity for introspection, communicating awareness of self in relation to others, recognizing value of supervision, etc.)
Must have knowledge of:
- Infant and child development and parent-child attachment
- Parent-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
- Family services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
- Home visiting with a strong background in early childhood prevention service
- Proficiency in usage of basic technological tools including laptops/computers, email, phones, and internet required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
- Must be able to demonstrate and live the organizational values of Communication, Integrity, Respect, Collaboration, and Accountability
Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of background checks upon hire
- Must have reliable transportation to conduct client home visits as needed and visit other designated community locations.
- May be called upon to work beyond normal working hours
Salary- This position starts at $50k and up based on experience
8-hour workdays, which include a paid lunch
11 paid company holidays, 17 days of paid vacation (increases after 5 years of service)
Annual performance-based raises, up to 4% of your annual pay
