Healthy Starts Children's Center at OHSU is looking for dynamic and passionate Preschool and PreK teachers who want to make a difference and impact the lives of the children in our essential centers. We are located on the South Waterfront across street from the Tram. We support OHSU families as well as community families! We offer a monthly transportation/parking reimbursement to teachers too!

We are currently hiring for Full Time and Part Time Toddler and Two's teachers. We are also looking for Infant, Preschool & PreK Teachers and Aides. As a teacher at Healthy Starts Children's Center at OHSU, you will have the freedom to act silly, create adventures, and teach children lifelong lessons that go beyond the classroom.

What You’ll Do:

· Implement curriculum in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child

· Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn while following health and safety measures and more.

· Partner and communicate with parents, with a shared desire to provide the best care and education for their children.

Required Skills and Experience:

· A love for children and a strong desire to make a difference every day.

· Ability to build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happens.

· Outstanding customer service skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple situations effectively

· 1 year Early Childhood Education/Childcare Experience (Preferred)

· Minimum of 18yrs. old with a High School Diploma or Equivalent.

· Must meet state specific guidelines for the role.

· Ability to speak, read, and write English.

COVID-19 considerations:
We require temperature checks each morning for both teachers and children. We also have a strict illness policy and follow social distancing guidelines. Masks are also required while indoors.

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • early childhood: 1 year (Preferred)
  • licensed childcare: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)
  • Child Development Associate Certification (Preferred)
