The Heart of America Correctional Center is accepting applications for the position of . Starting pay is $58,000-72,000 with a competitive benefit package to include fully paid family or single medical, enrollment in ND PERS, paid holidays, life insurance, and other supplemental insurance products. Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent, five (5) years of experience working in corrections or law enforcement, two (2) years’ experience operating in a supervisory capacity. Preferred applicants possess an associate's degree or bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, psychology, sociology, or related field. The director of security is responsible for supervising & managing the security operations of the facility. This person must assure that policy & procedure is being followed by all officers and safety of the staff & inmates is priority. The director provides leadership to the correctional officers, develops, and implements training protocols, hires/retains/terminates employment of officers, and remains current on security protocol. This position reports directly to the jail administrator. This individual will assume daily administration responsibilities when the jail administrator is unavailable.
