This is not, "Nursing Home style of work." This is more laid back work. It should be like you are going to your family house (grandma or elder aunt), taking care of them (utilizing a Service Plan), and hanging out (Companionship).
*Companionship is HUGE part in Hearts Open Home Care. Do not apply if you are not consistent and reliable. Our clients deserve care that is consistent and reliable.
Responsibilities:
- Knowledge on how to provide care and support to individuals with disabilities or whom are aged.
- Medications reminders
- Warm meals (already made meals), no feed assistance needed.
-Companionship; watching television and talking with the client.
- Ensure the rights and dignity of residents are respected and upheld
- Drive individuals to appointments or activities as needed
Requirements:

-Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
-Female caregivers are accepted however a male is preferred.
- Experience or knowledge in working with individuals with disabilities is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
-Must have reliable transportation with insurance and valid drivers license
-Client is not able to drive because of his ailments.
- Consistent caregiver
- Previous caregiving experience required.
- Consistent work ethic is a must. Our client's are the most important to us and they deserve consistent care.
- No health issues that could make you unsteady on your feet.
- CNA and HHA's are encouraged to apply.
- Passionate about providing EXCELLENT care.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- CPR certification and TB screen completed prior to hire.
- Ability to pass a background check. DO NOT APPLY if you have anything on your record.
- Ability to clock-in and out on time daily.
- Ability to pass CPS and APS background.
- Clients are in Wolcottville, Indiana.
- We are home based in Indianapolis IN. We do not expect you to drive down to Indy for work. We do Interviews virtually, on the computer. We do Meet and Greets in the home with the client and hiring candidate. Please do not get discouraged.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 25 per week
