Position: Plant Maintenance Manager
Compensation: Commensurate with experience. Status: Full-time, 40 hours per week. First shift position
(7 am – 3 pm), Monday through Friday. Must be available to work weekends and overtime, on-call.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: The most important qualifications the right individual will possess are a strong work ethic, strong leadership qualities, including excellent communication skills and a personable and positive attitude. Strong management and supervisory skills are critical to guide and train maintenance personnel. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with teamwork, are necessary when interacting with all company personnel. Having a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, welding/fabricating, and hydraulics/pneumatics equipment is critical to maintain and increase the efficiency of the equipment. Problem solving, attention to detail, and time management is critical for finding the best repair solution. Proficiency with computers and engineering software applications is essential.This is a manufacturing environment, which means you will be expected to engage with your team consistently throughout your shift while exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures. You will also be on your feet for most of the day. The plant maintenance manager must be flexible. Controlled change is constant and the willingness and ability to adapt is essential.

· Must pass a drug screening, physical examination, and background check.
Educational/Technical Requirements:
Job Duties:
1. Supervise plant maintenance personnel.
a. Provides guidance, training, and necessary instructions to subordinates.
i. Responsible for Professional Development meeting
ii. Responsible for arranging personnel training programs for every maintenance technician.
b. Reward and discipline subordinates when warranted.
c. Participate in interviewing potential new employees.
d. Terminate employees as required.
2. Working with the Corporate Engineer to improve plant maintenance’s ability to keep the equipment fully operational.
a. Submit projects to Corporate Engineering Manager for major repairs or improvements to equipment.
b. Monitor Equipment problem logs to determine areas of concern.
3. Works with the Plant Manger to set priorities and coordinate any maintenance related projects.
4. Help with troubleshooting equipment problems.
5. Managing, and supervising the installation or repair of all equipment.
a. Develop plans, schedules, parts, personnel, and assignments.
b. Monitor contractors (all disciplines).
c. Write operating and maintenance manuals when required.
6. Ensures preventive maintenance program is being implemented.
7. Maintains documented spare parts inventory replacement procedures and supplies to maintain equipment operations.
8. Order parts and equipment, assign personnel, and complete scheduled project on a committed deadline.
9. Maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
10. See that all OSHA, NFPA, and safety standards are met and that all safety regulations and procedures are properly enforced for plant maintenance and contractors.
11. Enforce company policies, regulations, and procedures.
a. Prepare accident reports.
12. And all other related duties.
Interaction: Primary interaction will be with the Industrial Maintenance Mechanics. Secondary interaction will be with the Corporate Engineering Manager, Corporate Engineering Manager Assistant, Plant Managers, General Manager, Shift Managers, lab personnel, operators, vendors and contractors.
