Field Trainer - (North East Region)

The Field Trainer develops the competencies and skill sets required for employees to perform duties effectively and efficiently in the work place. The trainer will communicate initatives and expectations to trainees in a simple and professional way. Field Trainers drives performace with clear communication and leadership.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assess the current training programs and recommend improvements.
• Utilize Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) within the quality management system on implemented improvements.
• Complete Training records to ensure accuracy, perform periodic audits to ensure compliance.
• Adhere to the Heath Record Retention program.
• Complete 1 personal efficiency improvement initiative per month. Complete 1 training efficiency improvement initiatives.
• Perform other duties as required and needed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4-year college degree or equivalent work experience preferred.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of utility industry experience is preferred.
• Training experience is preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Strong oral and written communication skills are required.
• Must possess the ability to analyze data.
• Expertise in the Office suite programs (specifically Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word).
• Must have the ability to learn a variety of software and computer systems.
• Obtain a Yellow Belt and Lean certificate of achievement within the first 6 months.

SCHEDULE & TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• Full-time, Exempt
• This position requires up to 85% travel.
• Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out of the area travel and overnight may be expected.
• Travel to other regions for support or new project startup is required as dictated by the Manager of Compliance.
