Job Summary
Heaven's Angels Services is seeking an Occupational Therapist to join an assisted living facility. As an Occupational Therapist, you will provide one-on-one assistance for the patients. Responsibilities include assessing patients’ needs, modalities, and ADL training, Dementia care, guiding patients through seating and positioning, and educating patients on the benefits of occupational therapy. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the human anatomy and the musculoskeletal system, and work well as part of a wellness team.
Responsibilities
- Perform one-on-one sessions
- Educate clients on the services and products offered as well as the therapeutic benefits of occupational therapy
- Collaborate with doctors to create an individualized plan for each patient
- Maintain accurate records of each session
- Schedule, confirm, and cancel appointments
- Build relationships with clients to assist them with meeting their wellness goals
- Ensure a clean and safe facility
- Comply with all applicable standards, rules, and regulations.
Qualifications
- Passion for helping others achieve long-term wellness and results through occupational therapy
- Previous experience in a therapeutic setting preferred
- Able to stand for long periods
- Comfortable with performing therapies on diverse clients
- Strongly service-oriented with an ability to communicate effectively with clients in a one-on-one setting
- High level of ethics and integrity.
