Expected Pay Range: $22 - $24 / hour

The Field IT Technician II (Yuma, AZ) works at Deployed Resources customer sites to set up, maintain, and break down temporary base camps; They primarily perform general back-end IT installation, configuration, and troubleshooting; and secondarily perform ground maintenance tasks.

Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions

• Read building plans, blueprints, schematics, and layouts to understand project requirements.
• Perform general Information Technology hardware and software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Install coaxial, fiber optic, Cat-5, and other cable types.
• Set up secure wireless networks.
• Ensure 24/7/365 secure connectivity.
• Install and configure printers and other office equipment.
• Mount control panels, door and window contacts and sensors, biometric scanners, alarms, sirens, security cameras, and more security and monitoring equipment. 
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, to include: DHCP, DNS, and MAC addresses.
• Perform general maintenance functions for electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
• Perform general maintenance functions for temporary facilities, buildings and tented structures to include carpentry or similar repairs.
• Install all above systems under guidance of licensed or trained supervisors.
• Perform grounds maintenance and limited site work tasks as needed.
• Perform daily/scheduled maintenance checks and services on government equipment, company trucks and equipment.
• Operate site equipment to include but not limited to forklifts, tractors, work carts, yard maintenance equipment, skid steers (training will be provided).
• Assist with maintenance of water and wastewater systems on project site.
• Coordinate service calls when required
• Perform general administrative functions
• Perform general laundry functions

• Have a clean driving record (able to drive company vehicles).
• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills

Work Environment

This job operates in facility and field environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard PPE, which will be provided by the company. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; twist, turn, bend, lift, kneel, climb stand, and walk; reach with arms and hands; use hands to finger, handle or feel. Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.

Employee will be required to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft. Expectation of exposure to weather (heat, cold, rain, snow) as operations occur in all areas of the country with potential for overseas travel. 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is contract work on an as-needed basis (including nights, weekends, and holidays) is required. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, and in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment, hand tools, site equipment and vehicles, and is required to use and wear standard Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), which will be provided by the company.

Required Education and Experience

• High School graduate (or equivalent) is required
• 1 Year of experience performing IT and/or security installation, troubleshooting
• Must have a valid drivers license and 3 years of driving history

Desired Credentials

• Associate degree in Computer Science (or related field)
• CompTIA A , Network , and/or Security are desired
• Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) certification is desired
• Any trade school certification is desired
• Forklift (5k ), boom lift, skid steer, First Aid, and OSHA 10 certifications are desired, as well as CDL
• 1 Year of experience in a maintenance position is desired
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Work Authorization/Security Clearance

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
• Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, a background check, after accepting a conditional offer of employment.
