Expected Pay Range: $75,000-$90,000/year
The Project Manager facilitates projects from original concept through final implementation. The Project Manager I will work in collaboration with project stakeholders within the assigned business unit to define project scope, goals, and deliverables working towards business needs. Develops detailed work plans, resource plans, project estimates and status reports as needed based upon the size, scope and expected resource utilization of each project.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Coordinates, plans, and evaluates projects using accepted project management methodologies.
- Coordinates project activities with other state agencies, governmental jurisdictions, or private sector partners and contractors.
- Reviews and recommends proposals and bids to management.
- Monitors and manages project quality and cost to ensure that project deliverables are acceptable, fulfill the terms of the project contract or specifications, and are completed within budget.
- Identifies potential project risks and difficulties and designs strategies to mitigate or avoid them.
- Communicates project methodology and processes to interested groups and team members.
- Compiles and distributes project information, project status reports, and project budget expenditures.
- May initiate projects, obtain authorization and commitment, and demonstrate business need and project feasibility.
- May develop criteria for evaluating programs, proposals, and other pertinent information related to project assignments.
- May develop project budgets, schedules, work plans, resources requirements, and cost estimates and projections.
- May assign duties and responsibilities and coordinate the work of project staff.
- Performs related work as assigned.

Work Environment
This job operates in professional office, and facility environments. We operate 24/7/365, inside and outside, in all weather conditions. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smart phones, tablets, photocopiers, filing cabinets and other presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position based onsite. The ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed is required.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field required.
- 5 years of experience as an advanced responsibility manager, or similar relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, and a background check after a conditional offer of employment has been accepted
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a TWIC card
