Expected Pay Range: $50,000 - $57,000/Year
The Travel Specialist is responsible for assisting in the procurement of travel arrangements (flights, ground transportation, ride shares, lodging, etc.) for company team members in an organized, timely, efficient, and cost-effective manner.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
- Coordinates and/or makes travel arrangements for staff
- Develop and update spreadsheets with travel information/costs
- Gathers and tracks data and statistics to provide to the Travel Supervisor for inclusion in monthly company presentations with leadership
- Timely and through completion of expense reports and supporting documentation for submission to supervisor for review and approval
- Assist staff who typically book their own travel with travel arrangements when needed
- Assist in the research for available options for hotels, alternative housing, flights, and rentals based on an area, and the most efficient and cost-effective methods of travel, as required
- Research travel issues and offer support and resolution to the travel supervisor, as required
- Support the Travel Programs Manager with any requests relating to programs, travel processes and general company travel information, as required

Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no current supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment
This job operates in professional office environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, smartphones, scanners, and presentation materials. There is an expectation of clear communication in English both written and orally.

Occasional lifting to 25 lbs. may occur. Employee will be required to travel (at organization expense) in automobile and/or aircraft.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position based remotely. Typical office hours 8am-5pm daily. We operate 24/7/365 and the ability to work flexible hours including nights, holidays, and weekends as needed is required.
Travel
Up to 10% travel is required.
Education and Experience
- Associate degree (or higher) is preferred
- 3 years’ experience arranging group or corporate travel or other logistical movements in a high volume environment
Work Authorization/Security Clearance
- Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS).
- Must pass a drug test, motor vehicle record check, credit check, and a background check after accepting a conditional offer of acceptance.
- Must possess a valid driver's license. Have/maintain a clean driving record.
- Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC)
