Responsibilities

As the Engagement and DEIB Project Manager, you will work in partnership with the Chief People Officer to build and implement an engagement and DEIB strategy and programs that lead to an exceptional employee experience. You will work closely with the CPO, Senior Leadership Team and DEIB Advisory Group and act as Project Manager for HSL’s DEIB work plan including goals, objectives and metrics. You will be an advisor and project manager on implementation of initiatives that foster a diverse and inclusive workplace culture that enhances our ability to recruit, develop and retain a high performing, diverse workforce. You will critically analyze employee survey data, then draw upon information that guides your strategy. This position is responsible for fostering internal engagement efforts that reinforce HSL’s commitment to our Cultural Beliefs and to serving our residents and patients while building employees’ sense of pride and understanding of their contributions to the organization. In this role will play a pivotal part in driving the development and engagement initiatives across our organization. You will foster a culture of continuous learning, belonging and inclusiveness while promoting employee engagement to enhance talent development and retention of our employees and working with our Talent Acquisition team, you will implement strategies to increase our diversity staffing within identified areas. This role will monitor, track and document the progress and milestones of our collective work regarding DEIB. This role will collaborate with internal partners to highlight key HSL news and programs. This individual will work in collaboration with our Marketing Team to support HSL’s employee communication initiatives. This individual must be proactive, collaborative, highly organized, detail-oriented, and creative, and must be able to manage multiple projects and platforms simultaneously. Working with the CPO to lead a winning culture and programs that enable an exceptional employee experience built upon inclusion and belonging, recognition and data-informed people programs and strategies.

 

Primary Responsibilities:• Offers people expertise and insight to inform strategic decisions and evaluate current programs and processes to identify opportunities for improvement throughout the organization• Drives activities that help shape employee experiences and key “moments that matter” in the employee lifecycle such as onboarding, recognition, career transitions, life events, employee wellbeing, development experiences, job changes, etc. in a manner that increases employee engagement, diversity, inclusiveness and belonging• Re-thinks how we provide our employees with an exceptional employee experience using technology, vendors, innovation, and other resources• Regularly designs, gathers, and analyzes people-centric HSL data. Use these insights to inform and shape the engagement strategy and initiatives to encourage a culture of empowerment, innovation, diversity, belonging & satisfaction• Partners with the HR Team Leaders and other key leaders to embed engagement and a positive culture throughout all areas of our organization• Enhances the onboarding experience through continuous evaluation, continuously reinforcing our cultural beliefs to existing employees and newly hired employees• Champions DEIB initiatives within the organization and supports HSL’s DEIB Advisory Group acting as Project Manager for committee initiatives• Demonstrates the ability to translate broader program objectives into clear and achievable project milestones• Prepares detailed statement of work and business design documents with input and approval from stakeholders• Manages project scope with team members and stakeholders which may involve changes to technical requirements, business requirements, and schedule• Provides assistance and direction in sourcing and execution of diversity and inclusion-related activities and initiatives, including, but not limited to, diversity and inclusion training, presentations, workshops or continuing legal education seminars• Designs employee surveys, analysis of culture, action planning and strategy implementation, and production of events and initiatives aligned with overall employee values and business goals • Creates and rollout of recognition strategy in partnership with the CPO that will include an expansion of the spot bonus programs in partnership with Compensation• Develops out-of-the-box ways to excite, engage and inform employees with a narrative that aligns with HSL objectives • Researches industry best practices and implements relevant strategies

 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or other related field• A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience supporting supporting employee engagement and or DEIB and recognition initiatives• Previous experience supporting the project management of high visibility initiatives• Experience managing complex projects, programs, or initiatives through a full project management life cycle• Strong knowledge in project management methodology and knowledge of project management software highly desired• Strong presenter who communicates ideas clearly to a wide variety of audiences including executive leadership and employee groups• Creative problem-solver who thrives on defining structure from ambiguity• Establishes and manages relationships with vendors and key partners in coordination/alignment with business objectives/outcomes• High attention to detail required •• Strong written and oral communication skills• Ability to collaborate and operate as a team player• Ability to build and nurture strategic working relationships• Highly motivated and proactive• Skilled in presenting project updates and adapting to changing priorities• Strong critical thinking and project management skills
