Reports to: Lower School Principal
Overview
This is a full-time, ten (10) month position. This position will be responsible to assist, support and work closely with teachers, administrators, and other team members in providing a quality instructional program for students. The Paraprofessional is expected to assist Hebron Christian Academy in achieving its mission. A commitment to excellence and unparalleled customer service is needed and is the expectation of all Hebron employees.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required and proven experience as a paraprofessional or teacher.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assists teacher with conducting lessons, managing the classroom, and coordinating instructional efforts.
- Works with students individually or in groups, to reinforce learning concepts or skills initially introduced and outlined by the teacher.
- Helps teacher to maintain a clean, attractive, and well-ordered classroom.
- Engages with children to enhance their academic and social achievements.
- Maintains confidentiality of students and students’ academic records.
- Performs clerical tasks as required by the teacher.
- Attends and participates in scheduled orientation, devotions, in-service retreats, committee meetings, faculty meetings, and staff development programs.
- Knows the procedures for dealing with issues of an emergency nature.
- Serves as a source of information and help to any substitute teacher assigned to the class.
- Performs assigned non-instructional classroom duties, such as snack time, etc.
- Helps teacher to supervise extra-curricular activities and organizations as assigned.
- Assists with bulletin boards and decorations for instructional purposes and for special events.
- Demonstrates a willingness to be trained and openness to learning new things.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
