Job Title Director of Operations

Department Administration
Reports To Chief Operating Officer
Basic Function
Reporting to the COO, the Director of Operations manages all hands-on operational aspects of Hedwig
House’s programs and assists the Chief Operations Officer in the growth of Hedwig House. This position works closely with COO and contributes to the agency’s success as a leader by performing the following duties:
Responsibilities
- Staff supervision
- Provide Direct Supervision and Guidance to the Development and Communications
Manager, PREP Coordinator and Mental Health Program Specialist
- Approve and Track PTO for these positions
- Coordinate logistics to cover program needs if staff are not working or need to complete other responsibilities for the agency
- Oversee and approve staff spending for program to ensure alignment with budget
- Other related duties
- Special Housing *
- Monthly outreach via phone or mail to HCD TBRA Tenants
- Bi-weekly search for apartments with in Fair Market Rent (FMR)
- Assist with in-person lease signings
- PREP *
- Oversee & manage PREP calendar and logistical aspects of Member events, celebrations and larger outings
- Oversee and ensure HH participation (both Staff and/or Member) as well as logistics for
Community Events
- Legislative Health Fairs
- National Giving Alliance
- Alternative Gift Market
- Healthier You Community Campaign (HYCC) *
- Work with COO to coordinate events, staff and/or Member participation and logistics for these events
- Oversee donation drives, inventory and storage of drive items
- Work with COO to integrate HYCC related activities with the monthly PREP calendar as appropriate

- Fundraising and Community Relations *
- * Provide guidance and supervision to Development and Communications Manager as it relates to their contributions to Spotlight, smaller fundraising events, marketing and communications to ensure timeliness and success
- * Participate in Spotlight on night of event in person
- Facility Management *
- * As needed schedule and coordinate vendors (or Landlord in Lansdale) to provide maintenance and repairs for Abington and Lansdale offices
- * Work with staff to ensure regular upkeep of program spaces
- Other *
- manage phone calls from agency phone directing potential new referrals and others to the appropriate staff for follow up

Education, Training, Experience and Skill Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree (Master’s degree preferred) in mental health, organizational leadership and/or related field including seven years of mental health work experience
- Able to demonstrate understanding of and teach the principles of behavioral health, recovery and recovery-oriented services
- Able to demonstrate strong administrative and supervisory skills
- Possesses and maintain valid driver’s license/safe driving record
Agency Requirements
- Follow policies and procedures of the agency, including administrative, quality assurance and personnel
- Perform related work as assigned, which may include lifting up to 15 pounds
- Participation in regular Management Team Meetings and Board meetings or committees
- Maintain timely documentation of all work assignments and unusual incidents for risk management
