Do you have experience in mechanical systems, automotive maintenance, or engine repair? Are you willing and able to travel extensively within your assigned region?

We are hiring a Field Service Mechanic responsible for providing equipment demonstrations and technical service functions including troubleshooting equipment via telephone, providing general and technical information, planning and conducting training, and performing field service work assisting customers with problems associated with a full range of ESG products.

The Field Service Technician will become the company expert in operation and demonstration of our complete portfolio of new and existing products.

Key Functions and Responsibilities :

  • Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements.
  • Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
  • Supports Dealers within assigned region and end-users with the operation, management, and overall maintenance of all equipment.
  • Receives customer inquiries and resolves customer problems to include remote troubleshooting as well as onsite repair of ESG products in the field.
  • Revise and modify engineering designs in the field to include PLC / controller programming, hydraulic and electrical circuits for more efficient operation.
  • Visually inspect products at various stages of production process to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
  • Completes periodic reports and writing of summaries to validate or show deviations from quality standards and present pertinent information from field start-ups.
  • Requires willingness and ability to travel as needed (occasionally on short notice) and requires a valid driver’s license and credit card.
  • General schedule includes travel to key consumer and dealer events throughout the year with underlying goal of creating positive brand awareness with an eye towards supporting sales.
  • Travel for this position will be across the entire United States, with a focus in Colorado.
  • Attend required training sessions, workshops, seminars and accept overtime assignments as needed.
  • Works with Engineering as needed on research and development of new equipment.

Essential Qualifications and Skills :

  • Education or training in automotive repair, electro-mechanical systems, engineering, mechatronics, electronics, or related.
  • Past experience installing automotive equipment, diagnosing problems and making repairs to complex equipment.
  • Strong people skills with ability to establish relationships with customers, dealers, end-users, etc.
  • Ability to travel extensively within your assigned region including travel by car or airline.
  • Enthusiasm for providing excellent customer service with a high sense of urgency for customers, dealers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of general automotive repair, hydraulic and electrical principles with ability to read blueprints and / or electrical schematics.
  • Ability to comprehend complex verbal and written instructions while also being able to speak and write in a clear and understandable manner.
  • Physical requirements include walking / standing, sitting, and lifting up to 40 pounds with repetitive stooping, forward bending and crouching (reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions).
  • Requires use of electrical meters, general hand tools, general office equipment and drive / operate company vehicles.
