JOB SUMMARY:
Warehouse Leads are responsible for the direct oversight of processes and personnel in specific or various functions. Warehouse Leads work to help supervisors maintain productivity and flow of various or specific warehouse departments. Warehouse leads help supervisors implement policies and procedures to create a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Must possess mobility to work in a standard warehouse setting and work with and around a variety of equipment, parts, and inventory, operate a motor vehicle and forklift (if position requires); strength, stamina, and mobility to perform medium physical work; Specific vision abilities required by this job include close visual acuity to perform activities such as: inspecting manufactured parts (with and without magnification), preparing/analyzing data and figures; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus and ability to distinguish colors and color variation of physical parts and components, and in documentation such as work instructions and engineering drawings. Hearing and speech to communicate in person and over the telephone or radio. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard or calculator. Positions in this classification bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and climb to perform work. Employees must possess the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials and objects weighing up to 50 pounds and heavier weights with the proper equipment.

- Work with supervisor(s) to maintain productivity and flow of daily functions. (Kitting, pulling, packing, receiving, shipping, inventory control, training/retraining, quality).
- Guide warehouse associates working in various departments in the warehouse.
- Handle any daily issues that may arise concerning processes within the job function(s).
- Maintain productivity numbers that are acceptable for the job function(s) according to the warehouse set standards.
- Report personnel issues relating to employees who work within a particular department or various department to management. NOTE: Managing disciplinary actions affecting employees is NOT the responsibility of Working Leads.Disciplinary actions will be handled by management.
- Work with warehouse manager, supervisors, and other working leads to develop strategies for process improvement and improved customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the point person or contact for the warehouse manager or supervisors concerning new issues that need to be relayed to employees.
- Track errors and provide feedback to employees in a specific or various job functions.
- Participate in warehouse meetings held by the warehouse manager when the department supervisor is absent or
- Interview prospective employees when needed.
- Perform daily functions (kit, pull, pack, ship) when necessary to make sure daily goals are met.
- Work in a manner that promotes efficient handling and minimizes waste.
- Comply with all Company Policies as defined in the Company's Warehouse Orientation Packet (Heilind/DB Roberts)
- Pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
- Comply with all applicable elements of the Company's Quality Management System.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Adhere to the principles of "5 S" to maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Participate in company sponsored training and process improvement activities.
- Comply with all ICC Policies as defined in the ICC Employee Handbook.
- Pursuing continuous improvement through training and process improvement.

SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure
