VP Finance

As part the management team, this position will have interaction with various members of the company, both senior and junior.

The Role and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing leadership, direction and management of the finance and accounting team
• Providing strategic recommendations to the CFO and executive management team
• Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
• Advising on long-term business and financial planning
• Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
• Reviewing all formal finance procedures and financial compliance
• Overseeing cash flow, cash management, and working capital
• Managing Property Valuations and risk assessment
• Tax compliance
• Providing analysis on acquisitions and construction
• Consulting with tax counsel in regards to Income tax options and alternatives
• Reviewing and updating IT procedures and needs

Qualifications / Characteristics:

• MBA Finance
• Strong analytical skills
• Real estate finance and acquisition experience
• Understanding of commercial leases and real estate operations
• Transaction structuring – Financial and tax
• Experience dealing with bankers and attorneys
• Accounting and tax background
• Not required but a plus – a CPA with GAAP understanding
• Strong communication skills. Speaking and listening
• Getting things done and making things happen
• Curiosity for new ideas and learning
• Works well with peers
