SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Assurance Manager to join our team. The Quality Assurance Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the quality assurance processes and teams within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering, with a focus on implementing and improving quality assurance strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality products and services.

HLT, Inc. excels in very detailed services for research, industrial, commercial, production and aerospace industries. Services include Non-Destructive testing, sales of associated equipment, calibration, maintenance and repair of leak detection and vacuum equipment. HLT, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, Quality Assurance Manager with meeting/maintaining our A2LA accreditation requirements to ISO 17025 and ASNT-TC-1A.

JOB RESPONSIBILITES:

· Lead and manage the quality assurance department to ensure the implementation of effective quality assurance processes and procedures.

· Develop and implement quality strategies to meet established quality standards and customer requirements.

· Accountable for maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and A2LA certification.

· Compile data information, prepare and issue reports as directed or considered necessary for audits, surveys, source inspections and contract projects.

· Responsible for determining and managing technical quality documents.

· Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

· Oversee disposition of all issued nonconformance items and corrective actions.

· Oversea and/or perform action, documentation, and closure of all customer complaints.

  • Maintain close contact with management team to obtain accuracy/quality of work progress.
  • Evaluate all quality related activities on each project, such a reviewing Purchase Order agreements, production instructions procedures, and flow down requirements.
  • Maintain QA and Company procedures and equipment at satisfactory level and optimal working condition, such as equipment recall list.
  • Control distribution of all of Company’s Quality Assurance Procedures, SOP’s and documents are status with updates as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Management team for quality improvements based on internal audits.
  • Create, monitor and provide final approval of the company’s quality management system.
  • Review and manage Qualification of NDT & Calibration Personnel qualifications and training requirements.
  • Administer and maintain qualification program, maintain qualification record, certifications proficiency examinations, and oversight of required experience hours.
  • Control archive documentation upon completion and work with delegates to control updates/revisions.
  • Aim to ensure that service the management system is fit for purpose, is consistent, is efficient and meets both external and internal requirements; this includes legal compliance and customer expectations such as ITAR/ISO17025/ASNT-TC-1A/etc.
  • Monitor and advise on the performance of the quality management system, produce data and report on performance, measuring against set standards.
  • Interpret, advise, and update methods of testing and calibration of components and systems for compliance requirements.
  • Identify areas for quality improvement and implement resolutions as needed.
  • Other duties, as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

· Analyze data and procedures to be sure that quality requirements are met, update as required.

· Possess and apply knowledge of strong physics, advanced mathematics and organizational background.

· Practice and apply strong knowledge problem solving and analytical skills.

· Possess and apply extensive aerospace/quality/auditing background, not limited to NDT, calibration and general QA practices.

· Knowledge and experience of successfully implementing an ISO level quality management system.

· Demonstrate strong leadership and management skills, working with delegates and management team.

· Knowledge and experience of conducting technical, management, and third party audits, such as A2LA.

· Possess and demonstrate success in managing new initiatives while meeting and operating budgetary requirements.

· Provide guidance and support to team members on quality engineering principles, methodologies, and best practices.

· Drive continuous improvements initiatives to enhance the overall quality management system and increase operational efficiency.

· Stay current on industry trends and developments in quality engineering to ensure the adoption of best practices and technologies.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience or 10 years of equivalent combination of education, training, and experience with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership position and 3 years of experience in a quality assurance documentation position.

· Strong knowledge and experience with Quality Management Systems (ISO17025, A2LA and government standards) and Certifications.

· Process good English reading, strong oral, written, collaboration and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to build credibility with, interact with, and influence at all levels of the organization.

· Good vision, excellent math skills and sharp eye-hand coordination.

· Able to analyze, interpret and implement industry standards requirements.

· Excellent time management and organizational skills.

· Proven ability to work cross-functionally as an effective partner; well organized with solid judgement; able to multitask and adjust to changing priorities.

· Ability to contribute development and validation of new methods and modifications with management team.

· Experienced and skilled in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

· Uses vision to think beyond the immediate situation, explore multiple potential paths, and adapt decision-making style based on the situational circumstances.

· Inspires, motivates, and empowers people to deliver organizational goals, while also delivering value back to employees.

· Promotes the process of change and a culture of quick adaptation while helping others deal with the effects of change without loss of workmanship quality.

ITAR Requirements:

This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants will be asked to provide specific documentation to verify U.S. person status under ITAR and the EAR. A “U.S. person” according to their definition is a U.S. citizen, U.S. lawful permanent resident (green card holder), or protected individual such as a refugee, or asylee. See 22 CFR 120.15. Some positions will require current U.S. Citizenship due to contract requirements.

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

Full-time position; Monday-Friday from 8:00am – 4:30pm

  • Progressive wage within the industry and based upon candidate’s experience.
  • Hourly Range- $30.00-$40.00 per hour based on experience.
  • Excellent benefits package including time off, medical, dental, and IRA plans.
