Job Posting for Lighting Designer at HELIUS Lighting Group, LLC
HELIUS is an architectural lighting design firm specializing in luxury residential, creative commercial, retail, and resort/hospitality design. We are seeking project managers, project assistants, and draftsman for our team. Your position and compensation will be determined by experience during the interview process.
Responsibilities
Prepare construction documents and associated deliverables for lighting design, lighting control design, motorized shade design, electrical design, and audio-video/automation design.
Prepare lighting fixture/luminaire schedules and specifications.
Perform lighting analysis using ElumTools, or AGI32.
Internal coordination to receive work assignments, design direction, and feedback on work performed.
External coordination with clients, consultants, and external design team members, to provide assistance and guidance.
Work independently and as part of a team.
Skills
Excellent knowledge of Revit.
Experience with AutoCAD or ArchiCAD is a plus.
Excellent MS Office skills using Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Experience with Adobe Acrobat and/or Bluebeam Revu.
Experience with 3 ds Max, Twinmotion, or Enscape a plus.
Ability to learn and use internal cloud-based project management software.
Ability to become familiar with rules, regulations, best practices, and performance standards such as the NEC, IECC, ASHRAE 90.1, and California Title-24.
Ability to work with multiple discipline projects including lighting design, lighting control design, motorized shade design, electrical design, and audio-video/automation design.
Project management and supervision skills

Time management and organization skills
Experience in lighting design and specifications preferred. Experience in architecture and interior design may also fulfill this requirement.
BS degree in Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with lighting emphasis, or a BA degree in Architecture or Interior Design a plus.

Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
