Job Title: Assistant Subsea Engineer
Reports To: Superintendent
Department: Well Ops US – Operations
Duties:
- Assist with preparations of the Subsea IRS systems and ancillary equipment.
- Maintain proper well control certification and training.
- Assist with moon pool and topside equipment operations.
- Communicating with onshore support and offshore Superintendent regarding project planning and procedural review.
- Update and maintain NSE spares and perform NSE work orders.
- Uphold high HSE standards, utilizing the WOUS Management System.
Education: High School Diploma
Experience:
Minimum Required:
- 5 years industry experience.
Preferred:
- Offshore deep water Subsea experience.
- Knowledge of current CFR's, and API Standards.
- Inventory Management
Skills:
Minimum Required:
- Good leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of subsea hardware and controls.
Decision Making:
- Ability to stop projects when necessary for safety reasons.
- To be fully conversant with controlled and emergency functions of the IRS system.
- Safety and housekeeping in subsea areas.
