The Senior Cultural Resources Project Manager will be responsible for cultural resources studies for a wide range of project types throughout the southern California region. The position will be supported by and work closely with the Southern California Cultural Resources Group Managers. Supporting business development is an important aspect of the position and includes preparing proposals, participating in client and agency meetings, and attending client outreach activities to generate business leads. Technical duties include project management; coordination with other cultural resources and environmental planning staff, subconsultants, and Tribal representatives; coordination and logistical support of field staff and fieldwork; and preparation of technical documents. Oversight of field survey, excavation, laboratory analysis, and construction monitoring will be required. The Senior Cultural Resources Project Manager may be required to hire and mentor new staff members and to develop training for existing or newly hired staff. The position may also be charged with managing staff members with varying levels of training and experience.
The ideal candidate will be an individual with archaeological consulting and business development experience, including experience in the preparation of cultural resources proposals and technical reports. Candidates must have a positive attitude and experience working in a team-oriented environment as well as possess excellent written, verbal communication, and analytical skills. Experience with a variety of utility, infrastructure, and development project types, document types, and private sector/public agency clients is desirable. The ideal candidate must have a demonstrated ability to manage project deliverable timelines and budgets effectively. Knowledge of the southern California cultural environmental and regulatory setting is required.
Salary will be based on qualifications and/or experience, with a robust benefits package. Expected starting pay range of $100,000 to $140,000.
