We are currently taking applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Concrete Finisher for the Sterlington, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:
- Job Scope:
- Setting forms that hold the concrete in place. Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues. Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver. Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed.

- Based on Job Performance
- Position Requirements:
- MUST HAVE VALID LICENSE
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be able to pass drug screen
- Must be able to pass background check
- Required skills:
- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job
- Ability to interpret blue prints & drawings
- Must have organizational skills
- Must be detail-oriented
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Check the forms that hold the concrete to see that they are properly constructed
- Mold expansion joints and edges, using edging tools, jointers, and straightedge
- Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete, such as floors, walks, sidewalks, roads, or curbs using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Align forms for sidewalks, curbs, or gutters; patch voids; and use saws to cut expansion joints.
- Mange house keeping activities when requested.
- Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
- Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
- Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
- Physical requirements:
- Responsible for operating electrical, air-powered, and regular hand tools during projects
- The ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and/or legs
- Spread, rake, and finish concrete
- Should be able to lift up to 50-100 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work in an environments with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
- The employee is occasionally exposed to loud noise, fumes, and/or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock

- MUST be able to provide personal PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, gloves, & safety glasses)
- MUST have reliable transportation
- Pay:
- Starting Pay: $26.00 (DOE)
- Weekly Pay
- Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
- Schedule:
- Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
- 8 - 12 Hour days (With Weather Permitting)
- Monday - Friday (Weekends as Needed)
