We are now accepting resume/applications for Skilled General Laborers for the Garyville, LA and surrounding area. Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:
- Scope of Work:
- Responsible for loading and unloading the truck, installing furniture according to the directions you receive, and assembling items on-site.
- Lift & move office furniture
- Responsibilities include ensuring worksites are clean and safe, erecting scaffolding, spreading gravel, using drills, jackhammers, and other power tools, and providing assistance with heavy machinery.

- OSHA
- Must be able to pass HAIR FOLLICLE TEST
- Must be able to pass background check
- Required Skills:
- Carpenter experience preferred
- Strong mechanical abilities; proficient at working with power tools, equipment, and assembly of components
- Strong attention to detail; able to complete work both accurately and efficiently
- Willingness to learn and be flexible.
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task
- Duties/Responsibilities:
- Performs efficient installation and assembly of office furniture within clients’ facilities, including systems furniture, case goods, accessories, wall-hung units, etc.
- Install furniture according to blueprints
- Transport merchandise between receiving stations, warehouse and production areas.
- Lift and carry merchandises/material as needed.
- Inspect merchandise upon delivery to identify any damages.
- Load and unload merchandise to and from trailers.
- Record the material amount or count received and circulated.
- Maintain industry vehicles and material handling equipment in safe and good working condition.
- Drive industrial vehicles to transfer materials.
- Operate manual material handling equipment such as hand jacks and wheeled carts safely.
- Cleaning and preparing a job site
- Mange house keeping activities when requested.
- Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
- Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
- Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
- Using a variety of tools and machines such as blowtorches, forklifts, levels, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
- Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
- Understand safety precautions associated with working in trenches and trench boxes.
- Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
- Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
- Performs efficient installation and assembly of office furniture within clients’ facilities, including systems furniture, case goods, accessories, wall-hung units, etc.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
- Lift & move office furniture
- Must have good endurance
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
- Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
- Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
- Ability to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
- The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock
- Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs

- Must be able to provide own PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, safety glasses, gloves)
- Pay:
- Starting Pay: $18.00 (DOE)
- Weekly Pay
- Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
- Schedule:
- Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)
- 6:30 AM - 5:00PM (30 min unpaid lunch break)
- Monday - Friday (Weekends as needed)
- Duration of Job: Approximately 2 - 4 weeks
