What are the responsibilities and job description for the Data Analytics Intern position at HellermannTyton?
The Data Analytics Intern is primarily responsible for assisting other Data Analytics team members with data collection. They will also be working with others who are passionate about making a positive impact on the industry by, building data integration solutions to meet the requirements of the business. They will also aide in managing data analysis and data integration across various systems.
This position is onsite and located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. At this time, we are only targeting local talent with reliable transportation and are unable to offer sponsorship for this role.
Essential Functions:
*Assist with data preparation
*Support dashboard and visualization development in Microsoft Power BI
*Analyzing business data and creating forecasts using statistical models
*Interface with diverse project teams, providing analytics support to advance key initiatives
*Assist key business partners in determining appropriate data processing needs to meet their business objectives
*Document work procedures, processes, and methodologies
*Create high quality data files and cross-tabulations for analysis and reporting
*Be able to aggregate and rollup large amounts of data across multiple programs into manageable information
*Communicate frequently and effectively with team members to ensure data requirements, project timelines, and established goals are met
*Learn how IT works with the business to translate opportunities into technology solutions
*Utilize analytics to evaluate and direct key business decisions to ensure HT's overall success
Qualifications (skills, knowledge, experience)
*Pursuing Bachelor's degree in an IT, Business, Math, or related field from an accredited college/university.
*Experience with Power BI and/or other data visualization tools
*Highly proficient in MS Office suite including MS Access and MS Excel
*Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
*Ability to interact with internal customers and interpret business needs
*Strong mathematics background to perform qualitative and quantitative analyses
*Familiar with advanced statistical analysis including regression analysis
*Knowledge of plastic manufacturing a plus
