Description
Helm LLC is currently seeking an experienced IT Project Manager for a full-time hybrid (three days in office) role in our Plymouth, MI office. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for working with our existing teams to scope, plan and drive completion of a variety of projects. These projects will include software development, integrations with 3rd party vendors and client IT departments, platform migrations and other projects as needed. The ideal candidate for this role will have a combination of project management skills, technical knowledge, leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively within a team environment.
Requirements
Project Management Skills:
- Proven experience in managing IT projects from inception to completion.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Ability to define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Maintain capacity plan and collaborate on prioritization
Technical Knowledge:
- Broad understanding of IT infrastructure, software development, network administration, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to liaise with technical teams and understand technical jargon and processes.
- Experience in using project management and IT tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project, or similar.
- Assessment and UAT of deliverables
- Light database querying
Communication and Leadership:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and vendors.
- Strong leadership abilities to motivate teams, resolve conflicts, and ensure project alignment with business objectives.
- Proficiency in preparing and delivering reports, presentations, and project documentation to stakeholders at all levels.
Education:
A bachelor's degree or three years' experience or equivalent
