Responsibilities:
- Obtain authorizations for Medicaid Prior Authorization clients and enter information into Matrixcare System.
- Utilize the Indiana tracking spreadsheet and maintain accuracy.
- Work with Care Supervisors to adjust the schedule to utilize the authorization properly.
- Work with branches to maintain appropriate forms, letters, documentation, and information for Prior Authorizations.
- Manage all NOAs for Waiver and DD clients and enter authorizations into Matrixcare.
- Run weekly authorization tracking reports to ensure proper utilization of authorizations.
- Update the Branch Manager.
- Ensures proper bill code/payer setup is entered correctly into Matrixcare
- Stays up to date with education on Authorization requirements
- Alerts the Branch Manager regarding late or missing documents required for billing.
- Work with the RCM team on billing issues and corrections.
- Produces reports as needed
- Performs administrative duties such as sorting, scanning, filing, and emailing records.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Self-motivated; reliable; strong attention to detail; maintains confidentiality; complies with all Company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and customer service skills under duress at a fast pace; ability to function as a positive team member.
Education and Experience:
- One (1) - two (2) years experience in data entry, record keeping, or similar experience in the healthcare field
- Knowledge of Medicaid, insurance verification, and authorization management

Intermediate to advanced computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and knowledge of MatrixCare functions.
Physical/Travel Requirements:
- Able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
- Little to no travel is required
