Job Summary:
The Cybersecurity Incident Response Senior Specialist will be a part of the Cybersecurity Incident Response Team (CSIRT). The Senior Specialist reports to the Cybersecurity Director and is responsible for monitoring and analyzing potential intrusion events. This is a technical role responsible for the initial triage of cybersecurity alerts, responding and escalating confirmed cyber security incidents, and driving detection improvements.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Ensure the protection of data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, or unauthorized modification.
- Develop and implement cybersecurity controls to protect sensitive data and support data protection program development goals and initiatives.
- Lead technical investigations of data security incidents and make recommendations for future data loss mitigation strategies.
- Evaluate vulnerabilities based on prioritization criteria.
- Identify, document, and implement vendor/manufacturer recommended patching and update schedules.
- Continuously log and track remediation activities of discovered vulnerabilities throughout the environment.
- Generate and distribute operational-level vulnerability reports
- Escalate cyber security incidents to security leadership when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Advanced understanding of computer operating systems (Windows, macOS, and Linux).
- Advanced understanding of technology vulnerabilities.
- Advanced understanding of enterprise computing environments.
- Advanced understanding of computer networking.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing.
