Full Time Sunday through Thursday position for office/front desk assistant:
This is a weekend day position. We are looking for an applicant who is willing to work Sunday from 10am to 6pm and Monday through Thursday from 8am-4pm. This 40 hour schedule will give the right person Friday and Saturday off during the week.
We are a small not-for-profit located on the campus at Mayo Clinic (Phoenix location), providing room accommodations to patients and their caregivers facing life altering health challenges such as cancer, whole organ, stem cell or bone marrow transplantation.
Job Summary:
Our team is looking to add an enthusiastic guest relations coordinator with a passion for providing compassionate service to patients and their caregivers while they are healing from extensive cancer treatment or transplant surgeries.
Essential Qualifications and Requirements:
- Provide exemplary first-class guest service experiences while maintaining an enthusiastic and professional attitude
- Inform guests of our services
- Ensure clients are properly greeted upon their arrival
- Provide prompt, accurate and courteous responses to all patients, caregivers, Mayo Clinic staff, and all internal and external vendors
Coordinate and manage communications between guests and staff and follow up to ensure we resolve customer concerns
- Promptly address guest requests
- Establish friendly relationships with guests
- Liaise with Housekeepers, Maintenance staff, and vendors to provide an overall comfortable guest experience
- Actively listen to and resolve guest complaints
- Record all interactions with patients and caregivers in scheduling database
- Initiate outbound calls and/or emails as necessary to resolve issues and/or follow-up on guest requests
- Demonstrate the ability to learn new skills
- Monitor and manage room reservations and ensure assigned rooms are prepared prior to check-in
- Oversee check-in and check-out procedures, including reservations and financial transactions
- Adhere to work schedule
- Demonstrates interpersonal skills with a diverse patient and caregiver base
- Demonstrates conflict resolution skills
- Demonstrates ownership to resolve challenging customer issues, escalating when necessary
- Use critical thinking and to aid patients, caregivers, visitors and team members
- Flexible with working schedule; may be expected to work some weekends, evenings and events
- Display effective problem-solving skills including decision making, time management and immediate prioritization of tasks as assigned
- Proficiency in Windows XP, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, and Internet Explorer
- Physical Actions Required job duties are sedentary work consisting of occasional walking, standing and lifting and/or carrying 10 lbs maximum.
Education Requirements
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Bilingual - Spanish
