There is a sign-on bonus of up to $1,500 for this position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist with the administration of payroll including preparation of timesheets, data entry, verification, reporting, and resolution of issues. Capable of processing payroll independently.
- Assist with the administration of the HR department including, but not limited to the following functional areas: payroll, HCM, organizational training and development, benefits, and recruiting.

Responsible for processing onboarding and offboarding of employees, including security access to various systems and set-up in payroll.

Assist with benefits administration for new and existing employees.

Assist with processing, updating, and maintaining documentation relating to personnel activities such as new hires, terminations, staffing, performance reviews, salary changes, benefit changes, recruitment, and training.

Assist with the recruitment process by posting and monitoring job openings, including application review through the hiring stages. Attend and participate in various job fairs.

Process new and renewed employee ID badges.

Assist with various reports for management.

Perform various administrative tasks such as filing, verifying information, copying, and maintaining files.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field or commensurate experience.
- Minimum one year experience in HR or related field.
Qualifications and Knowledge:

Knowledge of human resources and administrative procedures and systems

Exposure to labor law and employment equity regulations.

Knowledge of basic payroll principles

Knowledge of HRIS, Kronos Workforce HR

Proficient with Internet Explorer; Microsoft Excel; Microsoft Outlook; Microsoft Word; and Windows Operating System.
