What are the responsibilities and job description for the Addictions Services Clinical Program Director position at Helping Hand Behavioral Health?
Helping Hand Behavioral Health is seeking an Addiction Services Program Director to work at its Egg Harbor Township, NJ location. The Addiction Services Program Director provides oversight, training, quality assurance and provision of services to the Addiction Services program. The Addiction Services Program Director ensures achievement of program goals and promotion of high-quality services.
Duties:
- Assist in the daily operation and management of outpatient, intensive outpatient, and the adult partial care programs, and is responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of substance abuse and co-occurring services.
These responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
(a) identification and utilization of relevant 12-step programs and other community-based supports to assist with a client’s recovery process;
(b) delivery of mental health/co-occurring counseling to clients
(c) conduct intakes for new clients, and schedule all new intakes for clinical staff;
(d) development and implementation of individual, group, and family sessions for clients;
(e) assistance with scheduling and activities for all HHBH Addiction Services programs;
(f) provision of crisis intervention as needed;
(g) insurance that all DMHAS regulations are adhered to during day-to-day operations and address deficiencies in a timely manner;
(h) ensure that behavioral and pharmacologic approaches to treatment are evidence-based and objective, and provide tx services consistent with recognized treatment principles and practices for each level of care and type of client served;
(i) ensure addictions services are provided in the client treatment plan, and coordinated with other client care services in order to provide continuity of care;
(j) liaison services through DVR;
(k) supervision of Urine Drug Screens and labs, as necessary; and,
(l) facilitation and co-facilitation of groups when needed.
- Ensure that all clinical services of clients with co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified staff, and is responsible for certifying that all counseling staff are properly licensed or credentialed in accordance with state and federal regulations and HHBH standards and policy.
- Implement and utilize New Jersey Substance Abuse Monitoring System in accordance with Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services requirements.
- Ensure that assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of clients with co-occurring disorders is provided by appropriately trained and qualified clinical staff, and that the clinical supervision of such staff is provided.
- Network, identify, and utilize community resources, including building affiliation agreements as needed.
- Remain knowledgeable of HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2, as applicable to the consumers and program.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary treatment team meetings, Quality Assurance meetings, County meetings, and other management meetings as needed to assure continuity of quality services to the consumers.
- Supervise the Assistant Director, if applicable, who manages the support staff including housekeeping, front office, transportation personnel.
- Serve as the Drug Court Liaison, and appoint additional staff in the absence of the Program Director.
- Responsible for supervision of the Psychiatric staff and psychiatric services, ensuring the Assistant Director/front office keeps a schedule on the online calendar.
- Responsible for renewing existing licensure and contracts annually and bi-annually as necessary.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in a human service field, five years of experience in mental health and/or addictions services
- Two years supervisory experience as a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in good standing in the state of New Jersey
- Certification as a clinical supervisor through the Addictions Professionals Certification Board of New Jersey.
