We’re currently looking for a Part Time Nanny in Mill Valley, CA 94941.
A lovely family in Mill Valley is seeking a part time nanny for their two fun, easy-going children, ages 9 and 11 years, to start as soon as possible. Care is needed long-term Monday-Friday from 2:30pm-5:30pm, with the opportunity to work extended hours on occasion. The 9 year old loves reading, arts & crafts and anything to do with animals. The 11 year old enjoys playing baseball, soccer, and tennis, playing with friends in the neighborhood and using his screen time to play video games when allowed. Mom and dad have busy jobs and are able to work from home on occasion. The family also includes two large dogs and two cats (all friendly). The nanny may need to help let the dogs outside/inside occasionally, but no other pet care is needed.

- Length of Position: Long-term, minimum 1 year
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:30pm-5:30pm
- Compensation: $37-$40 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide Safe & Reliable Transportation: Ensure timely and safe pick-ups and drop-offs from summer camps, school, and various activities, maintaining clear communication with parents about schedules and any changes. Reliable car will be available.
- Educational Support and Engagement: Light assistance with homework, promoting a positive learning environment.
- Daily Care and Activity Prep: Help the kids get ready and organized for their activities, including preparing meals/snacks, organizing their belongings, and fostering good habits and routines
- Children's Laundry: Handle all laundry tasks related to the children, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing their clothes and linens.
- Light Housekeeping and Organization: Perform light housekeeping duties related to the children, such as tidying playroom/mudroom, organizing toys, and keeping their spaces clean and orderly
- Meal and Snack Preparation: Prepare and cook meals and snacks for the children (can be easy meals like mac & cheese, fruits & vegetables or more elaborate)
- Pet Care Assistance: Ensure the family dogs are let outside and inside as needed
Requirements
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of paid professional childcare experience
- Must have in-home childcare experience as a babysitter or nanny
- Must be UTD on CPR certification or willing to renew prior to start
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
- Must have valid driver’s license clean driving record
- Must be comfortable with friendly cats large dogs
Compensation Benefits
This position pays $37-$40 per hour, and the family is looking for 15 hours of care per week.
- 3 vacation days per year
- 2 sick days per year
- Most federal Holidays off (list to be provided), if they fall on scheduled workday
- 15 guaranteed weekly hours
