What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Supervisor position at Hendrickson?
Position Purpose:
Responsible for the supervision and continued development of the plant Maintenance Department, which includes associates, facility, and equipment.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise periodic and incidental machine maintenance to ensure its completion in an accurate, safe, and timely manner.
- Supervise and lead direct reports in daily production support of processes, equipment, and plant maintenance
- Supervise direct reports activities including work rules, safety programs, attendance, and discipline. Seek ways to expand communications and associate involvement.
- Oversee completion of preventative maintenance schedules according to equipment manufacturer’s recommendations, while ensuring that necessary components and parts are purchased as required or directed.
- Plan and implement corrective action initiatives in conjunction with management direction.
- Ensure entire department complies with all safety standards and regulations.
- Supervise and lead department to create and maintain a 5S program
- Lead initiative to develop new parts inventory program
- Help facilitate and lead new equipment and process installations
Education and Training
- Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, or other related degree program or equivalent experience in applicable area is acceptable.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must have 3-5 years in maintenance or engineering experience.
- Must have 3-5 years in a technical supervisory role with multiple direct reports
- Must be proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, fluid power, hydraulic and plumbing systems.
- Familiarity with Siemens and/or Fanuc CNC Controls preferred
- Familiar with Allen Bradley PLC’s and associated equipment.
- Operational and Troubleshooting knowledge of Industrial Robots. (Fanuc preferred)
- Should be familiar with applicable regulatory requirements outlined by OSHA, EPA, NFPA, NEC and other state/local organizations.
- Individual should be computer literate and be proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiar with or be able to quickly learn iMaint System and other computer maintenance software.
- Hands on systematic individual with high attention to detail.
- Experience with machining processes and equipment preferred.
- Ability to work off-shifts and holidays as required.
- Must be willing to be on-call during off-shifts/weekends for emergency situations.
