What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager position at Hendrickson?
- Act as liaison between Company and customer to address customer quality concerns and provide requested information to the customer to assist them in understanding our quality systems.
- Track scrap, rework, internal and external PPM and lead teams for improvement.
- Lead structured problem-solving approach for internal and external problems.
- Develop and implement systems to support IATF16949 and ISO14001 compliance activities to include but not limited to creating and implementing inspection criteria and procedures.
- Actively lead continuous improvement through employee development, process improvement and elimination of waste.
- Support APQP launch initiatives.
- Evaluate supplier quality performance with Purchasing. Drive supplier quality improvement and lead in supplier development and corrective action activities on an as needed basis.
- Administer customer warranty process and provide technical support for all customer supplied product.
- Supervise quality engineers/technician.
- Bachelor’s Degree required. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Industrial engineering preferred.
- 5-year minimum experience in Tier One automotive sector preferred.
- 3-year min. experience in using APQP tools (FMEA, Control Plans, QFD, DOE) required.
- 3-year min. experience in 8D problem solving process required.
- 1 year min. experience in using and applying Statistical tools required.
- 3-year min. experience in IATF16949 or equivalent QMA methodology required.
- 1 year min. experience in Supplier development preferred.
- Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.
- Experience with metrology and measurement systems/devices (CMM, hand gages).
