What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tool Maker position at Hengst of North America?
Job Summary: Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and improve Plastic Injection Molds. Experience with the Metric system required. Read and understand digital and analog measuring tools. Manufacturing new and replacement parts for various kinds of equipment, using manually and CNC controlled machines, such as lathe, milling machines, Drill Press. Ability to trim and fit components with using hand tools (such as die grinder, files, stones etc.) and experience in working with pneumatics, hydraulics and basic electrical.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
· Complies with all policies set in place and future policies.
· Ability to evaluate and calculate necessary machining cutting-speeds.
· Dexterity and ability to hand and custom fit small components.
· Lifting possibility of up to 50lbs.
· Able to work with minimal direct supervision. *Attention To Detail*
Knowledge and skills requirements:
· Basic Math along with trigonometry.
· Basic Computer Skills
· Any Gauging and Measuring
· Well established mechanical comprehension
· Forklift, Pallet Jack / Part Handling with overhead Cranes.
· Reading and working from engineering drawings.
Education: GED/High School Diploma
Work Experience min. 2-4 years in manufacturing
Minimum Requirements: Quality Awareness, Manufacturing Experience 2 years, well established mechanical comprehension, basic comprehension of controls and sensors, Computer Skills.
Essential Mental Functions:
Good Hand/Eye coordination, Communication Skills, Basic Mathematical Skills
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Equipment Used: Machinery, Hand tools, lifting equipment.
Additional Comments: Steel toed shoes required
