Hennis Care Centre, a respected nursing home dedicated to providing exceptional care to our residents, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Assistant Maintenance Director to join our team. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facility maintenance, ensuring the smooth operation of our building systems, and creating a safe and comfortable environment for our residents and staff.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and manage the maintenance department undre the guidance of the Director
- Use your wide skillset to personally address all maintenance needs on a daily basis
- Implement comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for all equipment and systems.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies, ensuring timely resolution.
- Manage and track maintenance budgets, negotiate contracts with vendors, and secure cost-effective solutions.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards to ensure compliance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resident well-being.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the maintenance team.
Who You Are:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Maintenance leadership role, preferably within the healthcare or senior living industry.
- Strong understanding of building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry.
- Proven ability to manage and prioritize workload effectively and provide constructive feedback.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and safety.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the facility as needed.
