Mechanical Engineer

We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to oversee the setup, release, and process for new part numbers and changes to bills of materials. Reporting to the switchgear line of business, this role supports our global operations. The Mechanical Engineer collaborates with procurement on vendor setup and certification and works closely with engineering buyers. Additionally, they offer support and expertise in business solutions for manufacturing, utilizing digital assets and other technologies.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide comprehensive engineering definitions for manufacturing operations.
• Manage Engineering Change Orders and Notifications to ensure timely completion.
• Collaborate with procurement and engineering buyers for new SKU setup and Bill of Material (BOM) inputs.
• Conduct training sessions for order engineering on SKU requests and BOM changes.
• Develop specifications, manage project execution, and create new products according to strategic goals and change management requirements.
• Support various applications including Oracle ERP, Oracle Engagement Cloud, Oracle Field Services, and Oracle Product Development Cloud.
• Act as a subject matter expert (SME) in engineering architecture framework development and design methodology.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 1-3 years of manufacturing or engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering-related field.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Exceptional consultative approach to understand customer needs and deliver solutions accordingly.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling/2D drafting; experience with SolidWorks is advantageous.
• Ability to foster positive cross-functional relationships.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
