Plant Operations Manager

A well established consumer products manufacturer in Macon GA is going through an expansion and looking for an Operations Manager. The plant is adding 6-10 production lines and going from 310 people to 600 people. The Operations Manager will be responsible for all manufacturing, production, and engineering and have several Department Managers as direct reports. This person will be the #2 person in the plant with the opportunity to be the top person down the road.
The ideal candidate will be a Plant Manager from a smaller plant that want to run a bigger operation or an Operations Manager from a larger operation. Candidate must come from consumer products manufacturing or high speed manufacturing to be considered. Someone who does not have experience managing department managers will not be strong enough. The person must have experience managing an operation with 200 people.
Must have a Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years operations management experience in consumer products or high speed manufacturing.
Looking for a hands on leader that knows how to coach, mentor, and develop people and enjoys working with people on the plant floor. Someone good at building teams and changing culture when needed and must have continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and Six Sigma experience.
