We are seeking a Business Analyst to join our Technology Operations team to assist with connecting technology with operational business needs. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in optimizing our operational processes, ensuring efficiency in technology performance, and contributing to our continued growth and success.
The Business Analyst must be equipped and able to work in a dynamic and rapidly expanding environment. This person will serve as a member of a talented team and must demonstrate superb competency and ensure the highest levels of availability, performance, and communication. The role requires a deep understanding of technology, excellent analytical skills, and a proven track record of providing data-driven insights to drive strategic decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops strong working relationships across the enterprise and understands business initiatives at a high level.
- Develops and maintains a solid knowledge of company policies and business processes.
- Requirements Gathering: collaborates with business stakeholders to elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements for technology projects.
- Data Analysis: assess data requirements, data flows, and data transformations to support business processes and decision-making.
- Process Analysis & Optimization: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies in processes and recommend improvements, enhancements, and/or automation to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Solution Design: Develop detailed system and software specifications, ensuring they align with business goals and are feasible within the technology landscape.
- Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and the Technology Operations development team, ensuring clear and effective communication with all parties throughout the project lifecycle.
- Quality Assurance: Review and validate solutions to ensure they meet the specified requirements and are free from defects.
- Testing and Validation: Plan, execute, and coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure the developed solutions meet business needs.
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate problems with a sense of urgency using a team approach to understand the root cause.
- Change Management: Assist in developing change management strategies and documentation to support the implementation of new technologies.
- Project Support: Collaborate with project managers to track project progress, identify potential risks, resolve issues, and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of technology processes, systems, and workflows, facilitating clear communication and knowledge transfer.
- Time Management: Manages multiple assignments according to documented plans and reports progress to ensure that required work is delivered on time.

Education/Experience:
- 3 years proven experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in a business and technology operations setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or similar or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required
- Software skills required (Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Lucid)
- Familiarity with ITIL or other technology operations frameworks is a plus
- Experience with Deltek CostPoint, OnBase by Hyland, ADP, Microsoft Azure, and/or Microsoft Power BI a plus
Physical Demands:
Must be able to satisfactorily pass pre-employment examinations as required under HEPACO’s Substance Abuse Program. Regularly requires intermittent sitting, standing, walking, squatting, and kneeling. Physical strength and dexterity sufficient to perform the required task is needed. May occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more with assistance.
Work Environment:
This role operates in a fast-paced, professional office environment. This position is a hybrid role requiring in-office work on Tuesdays and other days as assignments require. Our corporate office is located at 9335 Harris Corners Parkway, Suite 220, Charlotte, NC 28269. Some travel may be required.
