Hydraulic Technician (On-site)

We are currently seeking a dynamic Hydraulic Senior Technician to join our client's team for a direct hire role, a reputable company in the marine service industry.

Responsibilities: As a Hydraulic Senior Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing operations, managing projects, and ensuring efficient service delivery. Key responsibilities include:

Operational Oversight:

Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Collaborate with the Hydraulic Area Manager to uphold company expectations.

Manage day-to-day operations and expectations among team members.

Service Management:

Interface with customers and conduct service calls, majors, and surveys in the assigned area of responsibility (A.O.R.).

Maintain a high level of utilization of all technicians.

Oversee shop equipment, consumables, and ensure technicians have necessary items.

Ensure cleanliness of the shop and technicians' vehicles.

Project Management:

Work with the Office Coordinator to schedule technicians.

Track repair and re-man projects, ensuring timely completion.

Order new parts and monitor delivery to prevent project delays.

Communicate daily with customers regarding project progress, delays, and completion.

Inside Sales:

Interface with customers to understand their needs.

Collaborate with Hydraulic Division Manager and Office Coordinator on estimating and project preparation.

Inventory and Recording:

Manage inventory for all technicians, ensuring accurate recording of parts usage.

Work with the Office Coordinator to book parts against the correct job and quantity.

Ensure accurate recording of labor hours against the correct job and quantity.

Technician Management:

Collaborate with the Hydraulic Area Manager to resolve technician or office position conflicts promptly.

Qualifications:

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Practical Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the marine service industry.

Good communication skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.
